Authentic, inexpensive & delicious!

Normally quite good, but they don't follow the hours exactly. I tried going right when they were supposed to open this morning, but I had to leave empty handed after about 15 minutes of waiting so I wasn't late to work. I still would recommend, just don't have immediate plans after like I did.

Best green chile outside of New Mexico hands down! Try the chicharron and bean burrito with HOT green chile, you won't regret it!

One of the better Mexican food options in the area. The staff isn’t super friendly and the seating area is not good (take it to go). The food is great though. I’ve never had a bad dish. There’s usually a line, and parking can be tricky. Highly recommend.

I was expecting authentic and well flavored food from this place. What a disappointment. We even gave them a second chance and it was worse the second time around. No flavor, warm soda and even the red and green salsas were horrible. The salsas were as if peppers and water were blended together and that's it! I wonder if they've heard of salt and other seasonings at this place. The service was horrible as well. The people working there were too busy carrying on with a customer and wasting time. When you're on your lunch break and need to get back to work, timing is important. We ended up throwing the food away much like our money. We'll take our business a little ways up the street where the quality of food matters.

This little food stop was surprisingly good! I had a smothered bean and chicharon burrito and I really did enjoy it! Not bad at all! Located in Lafayette it's worth the drive from Denver! Thanks Taco Wagon!

Breakfast burritos were excellant this morning as usual, however the people working this morning were BLASTING rap music with offensive lyrics. This is a first! Our order was not correct as they probably couldn't hear him.

I brought my son here for taco truck tacos 🌮 and they smelled AMAZING!! He said they were “the bomb”... (I didn’t eat because I was sick 😷) I did how ever have a taste of my sons horchata and it was by far the best I’ve tried!!

Absolutely amazing food amf fast service!

Food was good but service seem unfair. For a Mexican run business seems like they treated whites with a smile and spoke louder, when I approached I just got a blank stare, wasn’t even finish giving them my order when he was giving me the price. MOST DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK!

Great food, my favorite is the asada street tacos. Would be 5 stars but the hours on Google maps are incorrect, and I drove down just to find them closed earlier than their hours showed. My favorite place for Mexican food.

They used to put real steak in the asada all meat burritos. Yesterday I ordered two of them and meat was like roast meat. Way over salted as well. Disappointed

Great price for good food

My order is always made to perfection and the staff is always great. I have ordered a million times and never been disappointed.

This is a permanently-located food truck with an adjacent covered, greenhouse-ish seating area. The menu encompasses the usual range of Mexican food: tacos with lots of options for fillings, tortas, burritos of various compositions (with option for smothered in green chili), chile rellenos, tamales, and of course, breakfast burritos. To date I've only had breakfast burritos. They were ready promptly, were generously sized, had a bit of heat to them (I opted for half mild/half hot on the salsa), and cost less than $5 each.

If you are looking for the best breakfast burrito anywhere in Lafayette, this is the place! I have been here a few times now, and every time my breakfast burrito has been amazing! I order my burrito with no meat and hot for the spice level. Each burrito is made to order, so you'll need to wait just a couple of minutes, but it is worth it! The burritos are big, the eggs and potatoes are perfectly cooked and you'll get just the right ratio of each, plus just the right amount of cheese melted in--just a bit, not too much! The green chile is delicious and is clearly made in-house. YUM! I love that you can get different heat levels for the green chile, though I definitely prefer the HOT (it's just right; lots of heat but not so painful you can't enjoy the burrito 😁). The gentlemen working here are always kind and your burrito will always be served with a smile! While I've only had breakfast here so far, I'm jonesing to come back for lunch to try the tacos on a weekend!!

Went in and ordered 2 ordered of 3 Tacos- $3.99, Chile fries with carne asada $6.49 + $1.50 for the meat 3 sides of Avocado $3 and a side of Beans $2.99 and they tried charging me $46!!! I’m sorry but that doesn’t add up so when I questioned the total and went through the prices with him he dropped the total to $26 which I gladly paid to get my order that I have now waited outside in the cold for 15 minutes for to not have my sides. The gentleman that took my order then replies with “I removed everything!” I asked how much for the beans and he says $2.99! I ask for the side of beans, he hands it to me and refuses my money and slammed the sliding window. First time and last!!!

Best carne adovada I've had in Colorado. Great tacos, tortas, and burritos. But they often make mistakes on orders like leaving off the chile or using a meat different from what was ordered, especially if Boss Lady (that's what it calls her on the receipt) is not working.

Unfortunately I went there today for the first time to grab some chips and salsa because I was in the mood for authentic Mexican salsa and I got Three tiny sauce containers not even full of a green sauce, and a huge box of nice warm chips! The containers they used were for if you would use if you were going to put aside a salsa to top your taco off with, not for chips and salsa! I am so sad to have to leave this review! I have a picture, I would love to share just not sure how!

Yummy food! Salsas are pretty spicy and "hot" means hot here! Enjoyed eating in the makeshift seating area, which looks like a repurposed greenhouse. It was clean and well maintained. My only issue was that the prices were VERY outdated on the online menu compared to actual. But portions were good/as expected.

Really good, two big chorizo burritos for $10.

Mediocre at best. The amount of mexican and "mexican" restaurants around and in the lafayette area, taco wagon is second best. I would recommend going into the store and buying the meat and making your own food, but if you want to be lazy have the people in the RV make your mediocre food

Everything about this place is mediocre and forgettable. 4 tacos are gonna run you 12 bucks and be unseasoned. The salsas are bland and unseasoned. Don't waste your money here or, if you must, bring some salt.

Very good food. Only thing wrong with it was the fact that there was a huge language barrier ordering and had a few mix ups with our food. All in all very good

Food is good. Price never the same, always order the same stuff the price was never the same. We had order tacos, standing in line like everyone else and order our food. Picked up the food at window and had a chicken quesadilla we did not order. People before use order it and we paid. Lady told use she didn't no we were not together because we were standing behind them and we didn't say we are not with them. Made us feel pretty stupid. Never be back!!!

Coming from AZ, Mexican food reigns supreme. Moving here has revealed a huge deficit in good Mexican Cuisine. The Taco Wagon Delivers! Period. Authentic. Fresh. Homemade. Love the Chili Relleno's & Tacos. I'll be back to taste the rest of the menu!

Amazing Tortas! I have been a few times and have not been disappointed.

About as tasty as it gets, and you get to sit outside. We keep coming back.

Ordered no onions on all of our stuff even said it twice. Only to get home and have onions on our torta. When we called the lady was very rude and said to us did it change the taste of your food?? Are You Serious? What kind of service is this. Then she said we didn't order with no onions as she was the one taking the order. If I could give no stars I would. What r u gonna do about it Jimmy? I will be looking for a new taco truck as this isn't the first time this has happened and I was the one to blame for their mistake sad when you spend 50 bucks and get the wrong order plus attitude just sad.

I stop by at least once per week to grab a pint of green chili to add to our home cooked meals. We consider ourselves "chili heads" for sure, and this place has some of the best in the area!
